How to Import Custom Views in Football Manager 2023?
Before looking closer at the Passion4FM Football Manager 2023 custom views megapack I’ll quickly run you through how to import the custom views in Football Manager 2023.
In some screens, such as the Squad Overview, you can customize or import any custom views of your preference. How you customize or import the view is similar regardless of the screen you are at. In this instance we’ll be using the Squad screen as a reference.
To edit or import a custom view, simply locate the grey bar entitled ‘General Info’. Click on it and a drop down menu will appear. Hover the mouse cursor over Custom and click ‘Import View…’.

Football Manager Squad Views; Detailed, Contracts & Stat View Available
We can use a number of different squad views in order to keep track of both players’ performance, training happiness and progress, in-depth information about statistics, contract status and basic information such as natural position, personality, preferred foot and tactical familiarity.

Squad View Detailed
Even though our megapack of custom views for Football Manager 2023 includes a number of squad views, some will find our detailed squad view valuable.
The ‘Squad View Detailed’ are created to provide you with as much valuable information about the player, both to get to know the player quicker, but also to be used throughout the season as a summary of how the player performs and develops.
Basic information about each player’s age, nationality, best position, preferred foot, value and wage, current ability star rating in addition to potential star rating are included alongside information about his morale, condition and match fitness. You will also get basic stats such as the number of appearances, average rating, goals and assists, distance covered as well as tactical familiarity, homegrown status, match load and training workload.
It compromises everything I feel I need throughout a season of information to decide who to select for the starting line-up for the next encounter according to their individual performance relating to the teams overall achievement, if I shall offer a new contract, give him a rest or help to decide on who is not good enough for the team.
Stats View Detailed (Squad View)
The ‘Stats View’ provides a detailed overview of statistical information and data about each player. I use it to distinguish the best performers of the group and who contributes the most to wins and good results.
It let me sort by points won per game, average minutes per goal (for forwards), assists by 90 minutes or passes completed per game. You can use it to find the most clinical forwards within your squad, the most creative players or the best defensive players who intercept passes and make most key tackles throughout the game.
Additional information such as who makes the most dribbles per game, the most key passes, interceptions and key headers can also be viewed.
You can even discover rather quickly who makes the most mistakes in order to avoid selecting a player that may cost you points for an important match.
The detailed stats view are set up in a way that provides you stats relating to the position on the pitch they are playing in. This means that it’s sorted by statistics related to their positional unit; forwards, wingers, midfielders, defenders and goalkeepers to give you a quick overview of how your players perform.
This overview of statistics enables you to do individual player analysis throughout the season in a similar fashion your Performance Analyst does.
Player Skills Assessment – Squad View Detailed
An additional detailed squad view has also been compiled. The player skills assessment provides a one-in-all screen to check the best and worst attributes of every player in the squad together with a quick overview of his strongest and weakest area of the game, best role and style of play.
The idea is that you can use this view to spot weaknesses in the squad at a glance.
The list of player attributes is listed from the key attributes that affect any overall performance in a match, from determination, natural fitness and anticipation to work rate and stamina.
Then the attributes are listed according to what’s required of a player in terms of tactics aka his tactical intelligence and technical abilities. In the end, I have sorted the attributes according to their position; either they require positioning, concentration, tackling and marking to be defensive solid or finishing, off the ball movement and composure to be considered a goal scorer.
My objective with the player skills assessment is to make it easier to determine whether you need to strengthen in a position, alter your system and team/player instructions or identify player’s who might be as good options for the starting line-up as a more experienced one.
Contracts View Basic
In order to keep tabs of the finances and understand the effects the current players’ contracts, hereby meaning transfer status, clauses, bonuses and perhaps the percentage of yearly wage rise of your players, my contract view can be of help; both in terms of future squad planning and decide on whom to transfer list or whom to keep.
With information about wages and contract length, it makes it easier for you to offer contract extensions that fits the same model as for the others of your squad, or easily discover players that could be suited for transfer listing or to let go on free once the contract expires.
Our Contracts View is rather basic, as I prefer to have easy access to the most basic information. The column for current wages and yearly wage rise may come in handy as well as appearances fees and the unused substitute fee let you make the proper decision for whom to select for your starting XI or look to sell to improve finances.
Playing Pathways / Future Squad Planning
New for Football Manager 2021 is a playing pathway view that helps to understand how your squad might look one to 4 years into the future. This view should help you to plan your future squad with information about agreed playing time in focus.
Featured along with playing time and squad status for the coming season you’ll find development progress, general happiness and advices about development which might give you a hint of how good the player might become.
All-In-One Training Setup / Training Performance Squad View
Some of the views within this megapack are created to let you save a click or two. The Training Setup and performance is an all-in-one screen that let you set up individual training and training focuses on the squad overview.
You can easily set up a player role and duty training for each player within the squad, add focus and check their workload and injury risk.
It enables you to both keep track of training intensity set, traits they are learning, latest training performance and get advice on development from the assistant manager.
With the scout’s judgment of his best and worse skills, it makes it easier to develop the player’s weaknesses or build on their strengths.
Opposition Squad View
Even though the squad views listed above can be used for the opposition team I prefer to get additional information about the opposition players, both for scouting and analyzing their strengths and weaknesses for upcoming fixtures.
The ‘Opposition Squad View’ gives you a quick way to get information about each player’s natural position, preferred foot, current and potential ability as well as a quick overview of their performance. If they have been scouted you’ll see scouts recommendations and knowledge level.
It gives me a quick way to discover potential talents or bargains as the view features their value and wage, as well as the current player status information (if he’s transfer-listed, wanted by others, analyzed by the data analyst or unhappy) together with the club he’s playing at – something that comes in handy if he’s out on loan.
Basic stats that you are familiar with from the squad view is also included.
Backroom Staff Search View
This custom view shall be imported into the staff search screen which provides an excellent addition to the previously published backroom staff search filter, which looks to let you find the best coaches or backroom staff of Football Manager.
By importing the backroom staff search view, you can easily sort the best staff according to the required key attributes for their role.
Looking for a great Performance analyst? Simply keep an eye on the columns Ana D (Analysing Data) and Tac Knw (Tactical Knowledge).
You can easily sort by the focus you feel are most important – for example by getting the staff with the highest defending coaching to be listed on top. From our how to find the best coaches, you will easily spot how good the coaches are, as determination, level of discipline, motivation and tactical coaching are listed next to each other.
The same goes for goalkeeping coaches, fitness coaches or physios and sport science staff.
Their current job rating, preferred job, contract expiry and current wages, and perhaps most important personality are visible too.
Everything arranged in order of importance and quick options to find the perfect backroom staff of your coaching team, scouting team or medical team.

Additional Backroom Staff Views
Included in the megapack are three different views to be used for the overview section of the coaching team, scouting / recrutiment team and the medical team – all with key attributes for their role, personality, contract expiry, wages and coaching qualifications.
This lets you easily spot weaknesses in your backroom staff in order to build a 5-star coaching team, a better medical team or simply sort by the best attributes.

Player Search View
Similar to the backroom staff search view, I have provided a view for the player search screen. It provides you with basic information about the players in the pool such as the knowledge level and scouts recommendations.
From here you can sort by nations, lowest or maximum age, lowest or highest recommendation rating, min or max value or sort by basic stats like average ratings, goals scored, assists recorded or simply the media description.
You can get information about scouted players asking price and minimum fee release clause as well as his strongest or weakest area of the game.
The ability to sort by potential is something I use rather frequently, as I like to have the best players listed on the top of the screen.
From here I can make an advanced search and filter further to find potential transfer targets more efficiently, but this is something that will be talked about in a coming guide on scouting for individual players.

Player Shortlist View
Do you have lots of different shortlists in Football Manager and need a quick way to sort through all the player data?
The player shortlist view provides additional information from the player search view. Here I’ve added the maximum asking price, the maximum wage demands and scouts opinions on the best tactical role and style of play. A column for the player’s transfer and loan status are included too.
You will also get information about if he suffers from any recurring injuries that may hamper his development or his performances and current statistical data.

Out on Loan – Development Centre View
With the new Development centre in Football Manager 2020 we’ve created a view which focuses on keeping track of the player’s out on loan’s happiness, performances and development.
It let you recall the player from loan, monitor his development out on loan or check development advices from the Loan Manager or Head of Youth Development who tracks their progress and loan happiness.
All in One Scouting Views (7 different Views)
Our new all-in-one scouting views lets you scout for players directly from the ‘Players in Range’ screen. In this view you will be able to select from 6 different scouting views all designed to identify the best possible players for your team by using additional search filters and advanced search conditions.
The basic all in one scouting view simply reveals the player’s attributes split by essential qualities for position, along with other basic information that identifies their best position, role and duty.
The all-in-one scouting views comes in 5 different versions in addition to the default view:

Fixtures View
My ‘Fixture View’ is rather simple. I have simply added goalscorers, weather forecast and referee. Together with the stadium name it provides me with some information about the upcoming fixture.
New for FM21 is added information with goalscorers and opposition formation.
By a click, I can get information about the pitch, its surface and conditions to decide if any changes to my game plans are needed for the upcoming fixture or what type of referee that my team will face in order to perhaps make adjustments to the intensity of the match.
Basic information about competition type, whether the match will be on TV, played on home soil or away and when is also included.

Squad Selection View (Tactics Screen)
Last but not least, I got the Football Manager custom views for the tactics overview panel. From here you can pick your starting line-up, change player roles and duties and monitor your players before deciding on the line up before taking on the next opposition.
The Tactics view lets you get all worthy information in one screen – either you use the expanded panel or the reduced panel.
It features both physical conditions, match sharpness, tactical familiarity, form for the last 5 matches and current ability in addition to key statistics that easily let you assess their individual performance.
A reduced panel for the tactics screen is also featured with key information.

- Download the ‘Passion4FM Custom View Megapack’. Use a tool such as 7-zip, or WinRar for Windows to extract its contents. Mac users need The Unarchiver in order to extract the content.
- Move the extracted folder ‘Passion4FM FM Custom Views‘ to:

- Open Football Manager 2023 and go to the preferred screen – either it’s the fixture overview or the squad overview of your managing club or the others
- Select ‘Custom’ in the drop down menu – For example at Squad Players View.
- Select ‘Import View’ From the drop down menu.
- Click the ‘Reload Skin’ button.
- There should be a box that pops up saying ‘loading image data for the new skin’.
Once this is done, you’re now able to enjoy the custom views in Football Manager.
